Responding to LGBT Hate Crime

Please join the Rights and Justice Research Priority Area (RPA) for a debate on LGBT Hate Crime. Lynda Kelly of Nottinghamshire Police will be in discussion with RPA Postgraduate directer Hannah-Rose Murray on the issue of responding to hate crime through policing, community interaction and the concerns thereof.

To enrich this discussion, we are looking for questions from our attendees. You’re welcome to pose questions at the event itself, but if there are any concerns you feel are not being currently addressed by the police, and would prefer to submit them beforehand, please email Hannah-Rose on ahxhm@nottingham.ac.uk. These questions will be read out (anonymously) to Lynda at the event.

The discussion begins at 6:30pm and will be held in Room A41, Clive Granger Building, University Park Campus.

This event is funded by the Rights and Justice Research Priority Area (RPA), the world’s largest group of rights and justice scholars. The research and public engagement of our 700 staff members, 300 postgraduates and 20 research centres focuses on human rights, civil rights, criminal justice, social and economic justice, minority rights, and all forms of equality and discrimination.
