Webinar – Challenging Gendered Digital Harm – A New Canadian Women’s Foundation Research Report

Thursday 24 April 2025, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm EDT, online (Toronto, Canada)

The Canadian Women’s Foundation has launched a new research report that examines how women and gender-diverse people in Canada experience digital harm. It looks at the impacts – particularly among underserved communities – and recommends policies and actions for creating safer online spaces. The report also explores public perceptions, and gaps in resources to support survivors and organizations facing digital harm. This research is the first of its kind to present nationally representative, disaggregated data on how people in Canada experience gendered digital harm.

The report reveals that digital harm is a pervasive issue and requires an urgent response. Women, girls, and gender-diverse people deserve to feel safe and empowered to fully engage in online spaces without fear of being targeted because of who they are.

This webinar will highlight:

  • Key Research Findings
  • Recommendations
  • New Resources to Empower People and Organizations

Presented by:

  • Rachel Mansell, The Prosperity Project
  • Elvira Truglia, Canadian Women’s Foundation
