3rd Party Hate Crime Reporting – Launch Event

The Community Hate Crime Network is running a pilot project to strengthen, improve and increase hate crime reporting through third party reporting routes in Gloucester. The project will bring together a network of community partners who will act as ‘third party hate crime reporting routes’, enabling greater access for victims to report hate crime as well as raising awareness amongst those most at risk. Voluntary and community organisations can have a strong and trusted connections with communities affected by hate crime and can therefore play a valuable role in raising awareness and supporting victims to report in safe and familiar surroundings.

This launch event for the project for organisations/individuals that have shown an interest or want to find out more before they decide how best they can get involved. The event will be attended by Martin Surl, Police & Crime Commissioner, Suzette Davenport, Chief Constable, DCI Steve Bean – Gloucestershire Constabulary, Hate Crime lead and will involve a number of short presentations from key stakeholders and affected communities. There will opportunities to ask questions of the speakers & panel members and networking.
