The Fellow will be part of a new core research team of ISH. As such, the Fellow will join a small group of ISH-affiliated researchers in a collaborative research project on a subject of shared interest related to the study of hate; research interests in the study of racism, transphobia, and antisemitism are especially encouraged. The Fellow will have the following responsibilities: participating in shaping and implementing the group research undertaking, as well as regular team meetings; serving as a resource for–and participating in monthly meetings of–ISH grantees across campus; mentoring ISH undergraduate and graduate fellows; helping to conceive of ISH-related public programs. To learn more about ISH, visit http://studyofhate.ucla.edu.
We are seeking to interview candidates with a demonstrable commitment to the success and mentorship of students from underrepresented and underserved populations and with an enthusiasm for building ties across fields within the university. The appointment (which includes benefits) will be for a 12-month period. Salary will follow university standards for post-doctoral scholars and will reflect the applicant’s experience.

To apply, candidates must submit a (a) curriculum vitae, (b) cover letter, and (c) a statement outlining how their research connects to the study of hate, including a brief description of the kind of research project they would be interested in pursuing. A statement addressing the applicant’s past and/or potential contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion is also required. Please visit the UCLA Equity, Diversity and Inclusion website for Sample Guidance for Candidates on the Statement of Contributions to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: https://equity.ucla.edu/programs-resources/faculty-search-process/faculty-searchcommittee-resources/sample-guidance/.
