In_equality Conference 2022

Wednesday 6 – Friday 8 April 2022, Konstanz, Germany

In April 2022, we invite you to join us at Lake Constance for the international, interdisciplinary In_equality Conference 2022.

Concerns about growing inequalities play a fundamental role in current debates: Which inequalities are perceived as a problem, what can governments do? How do perceptions of inequality influence patterns of political participation? To what extent are structural inequalities affected by policies?

We will discuss these and similar questions at the In_equality Conference 2022. Having invited contributions from all areas of inequality research, our program features 18 panels ranging from gender, ethnic, wealth, and educational inequality, to questions concerning the welfare state, debt and austerity, to a large section on how inequalities are perceived, misperceived, framed and talked about.

In_equality Conference 2022 features a public lecture on the eve of Wednesday, 06 April, held by Steffen Mau (Humboldt University, Berlin), as well as three keynote lectures on the subsequent two conference days, held by Catherine de Vries (Bocconi University, Milan), Jason Stanley (Yale University), and Stefanie Stantcheva (Harvard University).
