Lecture – Cruel Speech: Sadism in Law, Literature and Politics

As part of UCL’s 200 year anniversary celebrations we are delighted to invite you to a very a special event with Anthony Julius, Chair of Law and the Arts in the Faculty of Laws, UCL, and the playwright Sir David Hare.

Anthony will be delivering a lecture entitled “Cruel Speech: Sadism in Law, Literature and Politics” exploring some of the reasons why sadistic pleasures are both deprecated and indulged in law, literature and politics.

Sir David will chair a Q&A session afterwards.
