Online Interactive Workshop: Blame & Belonging

This workshop is aimed at Teachers, youth workers, community workers and frontline staff who have an interest in combating hate, creating community cohesion, holding challenging conversations & working with people with additional needs.

Aims of the workshop:

  • Equip people with the skills to hold challenging conversations (including extremism)
  • Increase awareness of the process of radicalisation
  • Gain new ideas and insight into how to combat hate crime (including racism and Islamophobia) and extremism
  • Increase understanding of the triggers/warning sign/ vulnerability linked to radicalisation/exploitation
  • Understand a needs based approach
  • \Understand a restorative approach
  • Increase awareness of how to hold challenging conversations
  • Deliver an overview and insight in how we use creativity and role-play to reduce the risk of radicalisation and address hate crime and division.

Our work in this area has been shortlisted for numerous awards; been commissioned for delivery at EU Parliament’s Conference on Countering Violent Extremism and gained us an invite to Washington and Boston with the US Embassy’s Countering Violent Extremism exchange.
