Seminar Series: Confronting anti-Muslim hate crimes in Britain: Challenges and opportunities

In the wake of the London and Manchester attacks, hate crimes targeted at Muslims and their places of worship have soared. More recently, Dr Nasser Kurdy
(a surgeon) was stabbed outside the Altrincham Islamic Centre in Greater Manchester; and the late Makram Ali, died and many more injured when a van ploughed into worshippers leaving late night prayers in Finsbury Park, London.

Finsbury Park Mosque will be initiating a series of quarterly roundtables with experts, academics and stakeholders to address pertinent issues of policy and strategic significance. The first of these sessions will be on 29 November 2017, from 6pm-8:30pm at the mosque addressing the theme, Confronting hate crimes against Muslims in Britain: Challenges and Opportunities.
