Stonewall Education Seminar

Tuesday 27 January 2015, 10:30 – 15:30pm, Sheffield

Stonewall’s bi-annual seminar is exclusively for members of its Education Champions programme. This free seminar provides attendees with the opportunity to:

• Ask Ofsted. This is your opportunity to ask Ofsted any question you like about what inspectors are looking for around celebrating difference and preventing and tackling homophobia in the current school inspection framework. We will be focusing particularly on their inspections of behaviour and safety, SMSC, safeguarding and British values.

Interact with a Theatre in Education performance. Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire County Councils have been working jointly with Apple Pie (Performance in Education) on an interactive Theatre in Education project focusing on homophobic and transphobic bullying. This is your chance to hear about the project and engage in one of Apple Pie’s performances.

Get support with your Education Equality Index submission. We’ll be sharing good practice about the Education Equality Index 2015 to support you with your submission.

• Network with, and learn from, others facing similar challenges to you.

This event is being held at: Nabarro LLP, 1 South Quay, Victoria Quays, Sheffield S2 5SY
