Virtual Roundtable and Network Gathering on Hate Crimes Affecting Victims

Saturday 20 November 2021, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm MST, online (Canada)

In honour of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights (JHC) is pleased to invite you to a virtual roundtable and network gathering taking place online on November 20, 2021 from 1-3 pm via Zoom.

In this gathering, we to have participants consisting of lawyers, legal professionals, law students, members from the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee, and select non-profit organizations from Alberta in order to strengthen a community of legal practice to support victims and survivors of crime.

We recognizes that there is a need to build a strong provincial legal network that can be accessed to provide legal guidance and assistance on hate-related crimes within our province. We hope to strengthen the connection and practice of the legal community in supporting victims and survivors of hate-related crimes, as well as to create a network of lawyers and legal professionals such as yourself willing to work on hate-related cases in the future.
