Please join the Greater Columbus LGBTQ Health Coalition for a discussion on addressing trauma within the LGBTQ community. The LGBTQ community faces a disproportionate amount of trauma stemming from a high incidence of traumatic experiences, including hate crimes, interpersonal violence and discrimination. Service providers, healthcare workers, and community members all have an important role to play in addressing these disproportionate rates. During this training, participants will get a chance to learn about the unique face of trauma in the LGBTQ community, discuss applying trauma-informed concepts to work with the LGBTQ community, and explore tools and strategies for addressing trauma.
