Blaenau Gwent Aware Hate Crime Toolkit Launch

Friday 20 March 2020, 9:30-14:00 GMT, Tredegar, UK

Blaenau Gwent Aware have worked in partnership with schools in Blaenau Gwent and Gwent Police, to create a resource that we hope will support teaching staff to educate children and young people about disability hate crime in order to prevent/reduce future incidents in Blaenau Gwent. It will also give information about how those who are victims of hate crime can report the crime and access appropriate support.

At the event you will be able to engage in the educational activities included within the resource and meet the young people who have been involved in the production of the resource. There will also be a film premiere previewing a short film raising awareness of disability hate crime produced by a local film company.

The event is aimed at front-line practitioners as well as professionals with strategic responsibilities in education, health, youth and social care.
