Community will be hosting its annual equality event once again at The Grange in Earls Barton, our ‘It’s not acceptable’ event is an opportunity to share experiences, learn new skills & develop your networks.
This year’s event will focus on the sensitive subject of ‘abuse’ the event will look at what is abuse across a variety of forms from domestic violence, bullying and harassment, hate crime and modern day slavery. Let’s take modern day slavery, not an issue confined to history but one that is happening here across UK, would you know how to spot the signs. Domestic violence impacts across many areas of an individual’s life home, work, children and takes many forms how can we as trade unions support our members and hate crime is still on the increase at an alarming rate.
