Hate Crime and Restorative Justice

UCLan’s Criminal Justice Partnership is hosting a Hate Crime and Restorative Justice half day seminar, as part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week. This lively event will involve a range of short talks from current Restorative Justice Practitioners, with a particular emphasis upon its use, in a variety of contexts, with Hate Crime perpetrators and victims.

Speaking at the event:

  • Dr Kim McGuire (UCLan) and Ian Hutchinson (Interserve Merseyside).
  • Gary Stephenson (CEO Restorative Solutions).
  • Steph Holmes (Chrysalis).
  • Helena Cryer (Restorative Justice Manager, Lancashire Constabulary).
  • Mel Close (CEO of Disability Equality North West).

There will be ample time to network, share ideas and experiences, and reflect upon current practices, issues and potential future collaborations. The event is for anyone with an interest in the use of Hate Crime and Restorative Justice.
