Hate Hurts

As a legacy event to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, Birmingham City Council invites you to the Hate Hurts Event, aiming to keep in the consciousness of communities and future generations the experience and lessons of the Holocaust and other genocides.

In a pledge to commit ourselves to a cohesive society and challenge hatred and prejudice, you will hear from a range of key-note speakers. Guests will be welcomed by Councillor Tristan Chatfield. This will be followed by Dr Chris Allen from Birmingham University and colleagues from West Midlands Police will speak about how hate crime globally can and has impacted us locally and how to build more resilient communities.
