Nottingham Citizens Assembly: ‘Celebration, Justice and Accountability’

This May, Nottingham Citizens will gather over 800 of our community members in Nottingham’s Albert Hall as they bring to fruition their current streams of work on modern slavery, homelessness, air pollution, and most notably a piece of county-wide research into hate crime, the largest piece of hate crime research ever done in the UK. Public commitments will be sought from city’s decision-makers and business leaders, and member institutions will share what they are doing to tackle the issues. They’ll also be revisiting previous strands of work from their short history, celebrating decision-makers for the positive impact achieved, as well as ensuring commitments that were made historically continue to be implemented in the present. The evening will bring together civil society, the market and the state, inspiring and urging us all to play an active role in working for the common good in Nottingham.
