Secularism 2016 Conference: ‘Living Better Together’

A conference marking the 150 anniversary of the National Secular Society will explore the importance of secularism in building a cohesive societies in which freedom, fairness and human rights can flourish. Speakers include some of the world’s best advocates for secularism and human rights, including: Raheel Raza (human rights activist and President of Muslims Facing Tomorrow), Maajid Nawaz (founding chair of Quilliam) Tehmina Kazi (director of British Muslims for Secular Democracy); Şafak Pavey (Turkish opposition MP and UN independent Human Rights expert); Douglas Murray (Associate Director, Henry Jackson Society) and Paul Rowe (CEO, Education Together). The Keynote speaker will be Jacques Berlinerblau (Professor and Director of the Program for Jewish Civilization at Georgetown University and author of How to Be Secular: A Call to Arms for Religious Freedom.
