Splintered Society: Do interculturalists have a role to play?

Society is becoming increasingly divided, with increases in hate crime and growing intolerance further fuelling fear, misunderstanding and resentment. Whilst the economic fallout of Brexit remains unknown, communities across the UK and Europe are already experiencing the divisive impact of this at a societal level. • What role can we as interculturalists play in supporting communities coming together?
  • How can intercultural theory be successfully applied to grassroots level projects and initiatives?
  • Do these challenges present intercultural trainers and consultants with new professional opportunities?
