Standing Together Against Religiously Motivated Hate (Leicester, UK)

Wednesday 6 November 2019, 18:00-21:00 GMT, Leicester, UK

Hosted by The Centre for Hate Studies, this event is designed to offer authentic insights into the challenges associated with tackling hate at both a local and national level. Audience members will be invited to share their own ideas for change and how Leicester can work together to effectively challenge religiously motivated hate.

We would like to invite a range of local people from different faith and belief backgrounds, practitioners and policymakers to engage in a public discussion focused on three key areas:

  • Experiences of online and offline religiously motivated hate in Leicester.
  • The impact of religiously motivated hate upon victims, families and wider communities in Leicester.
  • The ways in which citizens, public bodies, third sector organisations and other key stakeholders from across the city can work together to challenge religiously motivated hate.
