In the 10 days following the November election, over 700 hate crimes were reported to the Southern Poverty Law Center. In his first week in office, President Donald Trump signed the first “Muslim Ban” Executive Order targeting immigrants from seven Muslim-majority countries. Hate crimes are continuing at an alarming rate and though the first and second “Muslim Ban” Executive Orders have been defeated in the courts of law and public opinion, impacted communities remain concerned about what may be issued next.
