Virtual Discussion – Anti Racism Conversations

Sunday 22 January 2023, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm MST, online (Edmonton, Canada)

Racism and intolerance continue to cause conflicts and threaten peace. Like every human rights issue, racism compromises the critical protection needs of those affected by it and those most vulnerable to it.

Today, against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic that has exposed stark socioeconomic inequalities and exacerbated hate speech globally, Canada is also witnessing an uprising against systemic, institutionalized and structural racism and discrimination.

The unequal and unjust treatment, the different forms of violence, the economic and social inequality, the lack of opportunity, the racial profiling, the marginalization, the micro-aggressions, the countless daily indignities, and the senseless killing of millions over many centuries have to stop.

We intend to reach out to stakeholders whose mandate is anti-racism and inter-community cooperative efforts to participate in conversations, which will help us engineer an anti-racism strategy.

We wish to extend our invitation to our Anti Racism conversations. Please select the date which suits you. Also, you are welcome to speak on events; you may do so by registering as a speaker and letting us know the theme you wish to speak on by emailing us at admin@theglobalalliancecanaa.org.
